IPTV and M3U

IPTV is disabled by default. RelayTV only plays sources the operator explicitly adds or enables; it is not a content provider.

Source options

  • an M3U playlist URL
  • a pasted playlist
  • an explicitly enabled directory of free, publicly available providers

The operator is responsible for the authorization and legality of every source.

Workflow

Section titled “Workflow”
  1. Enable IPTV in RelayTV settings.
  2. Add or paste an M3U source, or opt into the provider directory.
  3. Refresh and inspect the parsed channels.
  4. Add selected channels to My Channels.
  5. Favorite frequently used channels.
  6. Start a channel and verify playback on the display.

Credential handling

Section titled “Credential handling”

Playlist URLs can contain credentials. Treat them as secrets. Avoid screenshots, logs, browser history, and source control that expose the original URL.
